FOTOROMANZO

Fotoromanzo is a publication featuring photographs printed on paper, produced in Berlin in a small print run (150 to 200 copies) and mailed to interested parties and potential readers. Its purpose is to publicize the photographic work of its creators and photographers from the publisher’s circle. It is clear that this method of publication has a limited reach. One of the goals is to be described as a “bilingual, periodic, transcontinental photographic journal.” More than just geographical dispersion, the editorial goal is a significant expansion of the scope of the photographs’ dissemination over time. The issues are intentionally distributed with the expectation that, decades later, some of them -perhaps worn and tattered- will find their way into the wider circles of the original recipients or perhaps end up at a flea market among old odds and ends.
